Information about the Healthcare Identifiers Service for developers

The following information is provided for new and current developers wishing to build or modify their software products to incorporate connection to the Healthcare Identifiers (HI) Service.

On 1 July 2011 Centrelink, Medicare Australia, Child Support Agency and CRS Australia were integrated into the Australian Government Department of Human Services (Human Services).

Healthcare Identifiers Branch

The Healthcare Identifiers Branch offers the following support services:

The HI Vendor Operations Team will assist software developers with questions regarding business processes, clarity surrounding the use of the HI Service Licensed Material or HI B2B web services, and stakeholder management of software developers for the HI Service. The HI Vendor Operations Team are also responsible for enabling access to the HI Service once a software developer has completed both the NOC and CCA testing requirements.

Online Technical Support

The Online Technical Support (OTS) team consists of three areas:

  • OTS Liaison supports software developers through distributing information. It is also responsible for customer relationship management and liaising with the relevant Human Services business program.

  • OTS Helpdesk helps software developers with diagnosing and resolving technical issues during the development and production stages. The OTS helpdesk also engages other resolver groups in Human Services to seek a suitable solution when required.
