Become an approved supplier
The Pharmacy Approvals section of the Department of Human Services will be closed during the Christmas Period from 24 December 2013 to 1 January 2014. All applications will be seen to on our return of 2 January 2014.
Couriered and hand delivered Section 90 Pharmacy Approval applications should be delivered outside of the Christmas, New Year dates as reception staff will not be available to take delivery during the reduced activity period from 24 December 2013 until 1 January 2014.

An approved supplier can be one of the following:
Suppliers can only supply pharmaceutical benefit items from a properly written prescription or, in limited circumstances, the communication of a prescription (which must be forwarded to the supplier later).
Suppliers are also responsible for making entries on prescription record forms presented by patients.
Some private and public hospitals are approved to use a ward chart system for prescribing medications.
