PBS education

Education plays an important role in Medicare Australia’s approach to managing the integrity of the programs we administer. The focus of our education is explaining Medicare and PBS requirements to health care providers.

Overview

Medicare Australia’s education section has a coordinator in each state.

The section's aim:

  • improve access to information about the PBS
  • provide a range of education activities and materials

Recent focus is on prescribing restricted medicine on the PBS.
