Aged Care Industry Working Group
To improve consultation with the Aged Care sector, the Department of Human Services (formerly, Medicare Australia) has set up an Industry Working Group.
The purpose of the group is to provide a forum to raise issues, share information and provide guidance to make sure:
- accurate and timely payments are made to all approved aged care providers
- Aged Care Online Claiming is successfully rolled out to approved residential and community aged care providers
- successful integration of change initiatives are made between the Department of Human Services, the Department of Health and Ageing (DoHA) and the aged care sector.
Representatives from the Department of Human Services, the Department of Health and Ageing (DoHA), aged care peak bodies, aged care providers and IT representatives make up the membership of the Industry Working Group. Aged care providers and IT representatives were nominated by aged care peak bodies.
