Aged Care Assessment Teams (ACATs)
Electronic Aged Care Client Record (eACCR) project
The Department of Human Services (DHS) is working closely with the Department of Health and Ageing (DoHA), participating state Aged Care Assessment Teams (ACATs) and evaluation units on the electronic Aged Care Client Record (eACCR) project.
The aim of the project is to provide ACATs with the ability to electronically lodge Aged Care Client Record (ACCR) information to DHS for processing within the aged care payment systems. It also allows aged care services to view ACCRs to verify a care recipient’s approval status.
Following the success of an initial demonstration phase, the project has progressed to a national rollout. Currently 88 ACATs from New South Wales, Victoria, Western Australia, Queensland, Tasmania and the Australian Capital Territory are submitting eACCR records.
