Midwife Professional Indemnity Online Claims user guide

Logon to www.medicareaustralia.gov.au and click the "For health professionals" tab.

Click on the 'LOGON' button on the right hand side of the 'For health professionals' page.

Now that you are in the HPOS home page, click on the blue hyperlink 'PKI site certificate'.

Select your HPOS digital certificate from the list displayed.
If you are unsure of your certificate name, select the 'View Certificate' button.
Click 'OK' to proceed or 'Cancel' to return to the HPOS logon page.

A private key pop-up window may display.
If prompted, enter your CryptoAPI Private Key Password and select 'OK' to logon or 'Cancel' to return to the HPOS logon page.

The CryptoAPI Private key (password) may not need to be entered at each logon, depending on the security level chosen at the time of the installation.

The 'HPOS Terms and Conditions of Use and Access' will display.

Click the 'I agree' button to proceed to the Midwife home page.
