When will the capability framework be used?

June 2007 - Launch and general awareness
The capability framework will be launched in late June 2007 with an awareness campaign that will focus on the what, why, how, when, benefits and impacts to our staff. The launch will be supported by a manager information pack so managers can brief their teams face-to-face in a consistent manner.
June 2007 - release of new recruitment and selection templates and guides
New templates and guidance material for recruitment and selection will be released (and updated on our recruitment intranet site) in June 2007. These templates must be used for all recruitment actions from that time.
Revised selection committee training will be available.
July 2007 - release of new performance support program templates and guides
New capability based Performance Support Agreement (PSA) templates will be ready and used for the next performance cycle of 2007-2008. Additional guidance tools will be available to assist our staff and their managers with developing the new capability based PSA.
July-December 2007 - Learning and development programs developed and/or refreshed to incorporate capabilities
Our learning and development programs will be refreshed to ensure they incorporate our focus on capabilities throughout the later half of 2007. In addition, a number of programs are being (or have been recently) developed that will specifically help support capabilities in Medicare Australia.
