External Breast Prostheses Reimbursement Program
If you’ve had a mastectomy as a result of breast cancer, you may be eligible to receive a reimbursement of up to $400 for each new or replacement external breast prosthesis. Find out more.
Medicare-eligible MRI services for PIP breast implants
From 12 March 2012, new MRI items were made available to check the breast implants manufactured by French company Poly Implant Protheses (PIP). More information for patients, treating doctors and diagnostic imaging providers about these new items is available on the Department of Health and Ageing website.
